Buses to Ha Giang run from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, departing daily from Hanoi, Sapa, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, … . However, we highly recommend taking an overnight sleeper bus, as it helps you save both time and a night of accommodation.
You’ll arrive in Ha Giang early in the morning-well-rested and ready to begin your mountain adventure right away.

Wake up at 8 Am, freshen up, and enjoy a local breakfast before meeting your friendly driver and follow travelers. After about an hour of preparation, you’ll be ready to embark on your unforgettable journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Ha Giang.
After about 30km you will see the first pass called Bac Sum Pass, known as a giant snake slithering along the steep cliffs and the longest pass in Ha Giang. And then you will visit Khau Lan Waterfall, hidden in the tropical forest and retaining its pristine beauty. The waterfall is less known and perfect for a dip in the clear waters and enjoying the fresh air. After one hours we Move to Quan Ba Heaven Gate, about 1200m above sea level, where you can admire the majestic mountain scenery of Quản Bạ, the gateway to the stone plateau. we will stop in Tam Son town for a rest and lunch.
In the afternoon, we going to Nam Dam Village, home to the traditional rammed-earth houses of the Dao people. The village is peaceful and retains many traditional customs, Lung Tam Weaving Village, where you can admire the fine textile craftsmanship of the H’mong people, Can Ty viewpoint, where you can see the valley and the serene river flowing through it. Then check in at a homestay in Yen Minh to rest after a long day of travel, enjoy a family dinner, and sing karaoke with the locals.
Wake up in the morning and have breakfast at the homestay, pack your luggage, and continue the Ha Giang Loop journey. we will Check in at Tham Ma Pass with its challenging winding curves and spectacular natural scenery, Check in at Chin Khoanh Slope and admire the entire Sung La Valley, also known as “Little Switzerland”, Visit Lao Xa Village, known for its pristine beauty and the unique features of the H’mong people, famous for their handmade silver jewelry, Move to visit Nha Vuong, a unique architectural work in the heart of the Dong Van Rock Plateau, in Sa Phin village. This was the residence of the H’mong King, Vuong Chinh Duc, who ruled the area in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The architecture blends Chinese, H’mong, and French cultures, After visiting Nha Vuong, take a break and have lunch in Sa Phin.
In the afternoon, we Continue the journey to the Northernmost Point, the first point of Vietnam, on the border between Vietnam and China, visit Lo Lo Chai Village, a small village with traditional rammed-earth houses, and a peaceful space at the foot of Dragon Mountain, continue the journey to Dong Van district, famous for Dong Van Rock Plateau – a UNESCO Global Geopark, with magnificent natural landscapes, ancient ethnic villages, and unique cultural features, Stop for photos and check in at scenic spots where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the valley and check-in at the hotel at Dong Van, rest, and have dinner.
In the morning, we will Wake up and have breakfast then Continue the journey. If it’s Sunday, we might visit the local market. On regular days, we will head straight to Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the “four great passes” of Vietnam, famous for its treacherous roads, steep cliffs, and breathtaking natural scenery.
During the journey, we’ll go on a 5km trek, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Nho Que River and Tu San Canyon from an altitude of about 1400m above sea level. We will stop for lunch in Meo Vac.
In the afternoon, we will continue the journey along National Highway 4C, After an hour of travel, we will take a break at Song Gam View. You can order a coffee and enjoy the mountain scenery. By the end of the day, you will check in at your accommodation in at a homestay in Bao Lac, rest, and have dinner with the local family.
In the morning, have breakfast and move to Khau Coc Cha Pass, one of the “four great passes” of Vietnam, with its 15 steep layers. Continue the journey to Cao Bac Pass to admire the terraced fields and the fog-covered scenery. Cross the lesser-known Na Tenh Pass, famous for its 20 gentle, impressive curves, and stop for lunch in Tra Linh.
In the afternoon, explore Phong Nam Valley or Ngoc Con Valley, where the traditional culture of the Tay people thrives amidst picturesque rice fields. Visit Co La Waterfall, known for its poetic beauty surrounded by mountains and fields. Take a walk through Khuoi Ky Stone Village, a 400-year-old settlement, and discover the unique stone stilt houses of the Tay people. Finally, check in at a local homestay, rest, and enjoy a special dinner with the locals.
Wake up at 7:30 AM, have breakfast, and visit the famous Nguom Ngao Limestone Cave. Then, walk up to Truc Lam Phat Tich Pagoda to enjoy a panoramic view of Ban Gioc Waterfall and the majestic mountains. Take a boat ride on the magnificent Ban Gioc Waterfall, floating on the emerald-green waters of the Quay Son River. Finally, rest and have lunch in Trung Khanh District.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the mystical God’s Eye Mountain, nestled in the Thang Hen Lake valley. Afterwards, travel to Cao Bang, check into the homestay, relax, and enjoy dinner.
At 7:30 AM, we will have breakfast and take a short stroll around Cao Bang City. where you can experience the peaceful rhythm of local life in the early morning – vendors setting up their stalls, locals enjoying hot noodle soup, and the fresh mountain air filling the streets. After breakfast, depart for Cho Ra Town.
The morning drive covers a long but scenic mountain route, winding through spectacular limestone ranges and valleys. The journey takes time due to the winding roads and frequent photo stops along the way – that’s why the morning schedule focuses mainly on travelling rather than visiting multiple attractions.
At 12:00 PM we will Arrive in Cho Ra Town and have lunch near Cho Ra Market, a small yet bustling local market where you can catch a glimpse of daily life in a northern Vietnamese highland town. After lunch, continue the journey towards Ba Be National Park. And Check in at Ba Be Homestay.
After lunch, enjoy a peaceful kayaking experience on the pristine waters of Ba Be Lake – the largest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam. Glide gently across the emerald-green surface, surrounded by towering limestone mountains, lush tropical forests, and the songs of birds echoing across the valley. As you paddle, you’ll feel completely immersed in the tranquillity of nature, far away from the noise of the city.
Later in the afternoon, return to the homestay and take a leisurely walk through Pac Ngoi Village, home to the Tay ethnic people. Here, traditional stilt houses line the riverbank, and villagers can often be seen weaving or preparing dinner as the sun begins to set. Spend some time learning about the local culture, chatting with the friendly hosts, and then enjoy a warm, home-cooked dinner at the homestay – a perfect way to end a peaceful day in Ba Be.
In the morning, have breakfast and take a leisurely walk around Ba Be Lake to soak in its tranquil beauty. Surrounded by lush green mountains and calm emerald waters, this peaceful stroll is the perfect way to start your final day in nature.
Afterwards, continue to Hua Ma Cave, a deep and mysterious limestone cave considered one of the most pristine in Bac Kan Province. Explore its magnificent chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites formed over thousands of years – a truly breathtaking natural wonder.
Next, depart for Na Hang Lake, a stunning hydroelectric reservoir often compared to a miniature version of Ha Long Bay. Take a short rest, enjoy the peaceful scenery of the lake surrounded by forested cliffs, and savour a delicious local lunch before the return journey to Ha Giang City.
On the way back, the route passes through Ban Sao and Ngoc Linh villages (or Viet Quang Town), offering glimpses of local life in the northern mountains.
You will arrive in Ha Giang City in the late afternoon, marking the end of your adventure.
